“I’ve continued to make things as if the exhibition deadlines still exist because the studio is the place I feel grounded, curious and hopefully even in this strange time. I mostly spend my time thinking about you all and my family and taking the time to reflect on how we spend our days. Making this bigger work makes me feel totally embodied and has worn out my shoulders and thumbs and leaves me feeling sore and tired at the end of the day, but the physicality of the process has been a good way for me to quiet the spiraling thoughts.” – Giselle Hicks
