Vetri is pleased to present Voyages | In Paint, Glass, and Wood in collaboration with Museo Gallery. This exhibition is part of Vetri’s new OFFSITE series, a curatorial initiative that brings contemporary glass and fine craft into new settings through strategic partnerships.
Co-curated by Sheila Strobel of Vetri and Nancy Whittaker and Michael Dickter of Museo, the exhibition pairs Pacific Northwest landscape painting with sculptural works in glass and wood, exploring themes of place, movement, and material.
Vetri’s presentation features new oak and glass sculptures by Danish artists Backhaus Brown and Egeværk, inspired by traditional Viking shipbuilding. Also included are layered glass compositions by Anne Clifton and sand-carved blown glass by Preston Singletary. Singletary’s Tlingit Baskets reinterpret Indigenous weaving traditions through glass, bridging cultural heritage and contemporary practice.
Museo’s contribution centers the region’s natural landscape with paintings by Heather Jacks, Pete Jordan, Kim Matthews Wheaton, and Dion Zwirner, artists whose work reflects a deep connection to the coastal Northwest.
Voyages is on view at Museo Gallery on Whidbey Island through August 31.
We invite you to join us for the opening on Saturday, August 2 from 5–7pm.
