Jane Richlovsky
In her innovative new work, Seattle-based artist Jane Richlovsky uses monotype printmaking techniques to craft dynamic patterns that blur the line between human and machine. Utilizing Tyvek stencils, she hand-cuts elemental shapes and screenprints them with a machine printing palette of cyan, magenta, and yellow, creating machine-accurate layers of color that evoke movement and depth. Richlovsky extends these patterns into monotype prints, reliefs, installations, and stop-motion animations, fusing human touch with mechanical precision. Her dynamic patterns transcend dimensions, creating an interplay of order and chaos.
Richlovsky’s art has been featured in prestigious residencies such as Mega Pixels at Amazon Spheres in Seattle and is included in private and public collections, notably the King County International Airport in Washington.
