Jason Christian

Jason Christian is a renowned glass artist based in Seattle, Washington. He is known for his technical prowess. Inspired by the works of Faberge, Christian combines the delicate complexity of Reticello, Merletto, and Latticino with the recognizable form for which Faberge’s eggs are famous. One of Jason’s most popular sculptures is his pop-art interpretation of the classic Duncan Yo-yo toy, often produced with ancient Venetian techniques in a spectrum of collectible glassy color.

Christian began his glassblowing career at the age of 21, starting as a factory charger, and developed his glass knowledge through experience. He has worked with a variety of well-known artists in the Studio Glass Art community, including Lino Tagliapietra, Martin Blank, Preston Singletary, James Mongrain, and Nancy Callan. Jason’s teaching experience includes Urban Glass, Pilchuck Glass School, and the University of Texas Arlington. He is an integral member of Dale Chihuly’s boathouse team for more than a decade, collaborating and working with international artists including Pino Singnoretti.
