Chuck Lopez

Chuck Lopez has worked in glass for the past 27 years. Through his work, he explores process, material, and abstract design in an effort to uncover personal connections from the viewer. “I am driven to discover what meaning is exposed through the act of making, and to witness the unexpected and inspirational things that are revealed by the objects themselves.”

An active member of Seattle’s art community, he is the Glass Studio Technician at Pratt Fine Arts Center. Lopez has a long-standing association with Pilchuck Glass School, and was awarded grants from Artist Trust and Wheaton Arts. His work is exhibited internationally, was included in a survey exhibition at Tacoma Art Museum, and published in New Glass Review, Glass Art Society Journal, and Glass Art Magazine. Vetri has been exhibiting his work since 2002.
