Alison Reintjes

Based in Montana, artist Alison Reintjes makes geometric sculptures and functional objects. Committed to non-representational, shape-based abstraction, Alison has maintained a studio practice for over 20 years. She studied glass blowing at Kent State University and the Canberra School of Art before graduating from Northern Michigan University. Over the years, Alison taught art in public schools, led workshops, and exhibited and lectured at universities, art centers, and museums. Solo exhibitions include the Missoula Art Museum and the Holter Museum of Art, along with public art commissions; Alison received the 2017 Montana Arts Council Artists Innovation Award, the NCECA Scholarship, Archie Bray Foundation, Helena, MT, and the Merit Scholarship, Pilchuck Glass School, Seattle.
