Takuya Tokizawa
Takuya Tokizawa was born and educated in Japan. Tokizawa studied glassblowing at Tokyo Glass Art Institute and Toyama City Institute of Japan, and later came to Seattle to work in Dale Chihuly’s studio. Since moving to Seattle in 1998, he has worked with various glass artists including David Levi, John de Wit, Janusz Wozniak, and Dante Marioni. In his travels in Japan, Tokizawa observed how “a humble, everyday object is transformed into a piece worth admiring” and aspires to do the same.
